The storm system on April 16, 2024, resulted in several reported funnel cloud sightings across the Midwest at the following times and locations:
- 1 W Alburnett, IA at 4:23 pm CDT: Funnel cloud was reported just to the west of Alburnett.
- 3 NNE Taylor Ridge, IL at 6:05 pm CDT: A funnel cloud sighting was reported north-northeast of Taylor Ridge.
- 1 ENE Le Claire, IA at 6:37 pm CDT: A funnel cloud was observed east-northeast of Le Claire.
- 4 WNW Penrose, IL at 8:10 pm CDT: Reports came in of a funnel cloud west-northwest of Penrose.
- 1 NE Aledo, IL at 6:25 pm CDT: A funnel cloud was seen to the northeast of Aledo.
In addition to the funnel clouds, the storm system also caused a dust storm near New Berlin, IL, and flooding in Platteville, WI, along with other severe weather events across the region.
