Severe Weather Threat Today for Central Indiana: Damaging Winds and Heavy Rain Expected

Indianapolis, IN – The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather threat for central Indiana today, with the highest risk for isolated severe storms expected late this afternoon into the evening.

According to the National Weather Service, a cold front moving through the area will trigger additional isolated to scattered thunderstorms, potentially intensifying later today. Southeastern portions of central Indiana face the greatest risk, with damaging wind gusts and heavy rain as primary threats.
