Teen listed in Critical Condition after Kawasaki Motorcycle Crashes into Illinois House

JOLIET, IL – An 18-year-old Joliet resident is currently fighting for his life after a devastating motorcycle accident early Wednesday morning.

According to Joliet Police, officers received an urgent call at 9:49 AM reporting a crash with injuries in the 1100 block of Cypress Lane. Preliminary investigations report that the teenager was operating a Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle, traveling at an alarming speed in a southbound direction when it veered off the roadway for unknown reasons, colliding forcefully with the front of a nearby house.

Joliet Fire promptly transported the teenager to Ascension St. Joseph Medical. The young motorcyclist’s condition was initially listed as critical but has since stabilized.

An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
