Snowmobile crashes into creek inside farm field in Limestone Township

KANKAKEE — Emergency responders were called to a major motor vehicle accident involving a snowmobile in Limestone Township on Friday evening.

The incident occurred around 6 p.m. in the 2800 block of 6000 West Road, where a snowmobile crashed into a creek approximately 400 yards into a farm field.

According to reports, a patient was found down at the scene and the Salina Fire Protection District was dispatched to respond. In addition, the Illinois Department of Natural Resources was requested to assist.

No further details were immediately available.
