South Bend Officer-Involved Shooting Leaves One Hospitalized

South Bend, IN – South Bend Police responded to a call near Niles and Colfax Avenues early Tuesday, resulting in an officer-involved shooting that left one person hospitalized.

According to the South Bend Police Department, the incident occurred around 6:40 a.m. when an officer discharged their firearm. No officers were injured.

The St. Joseph County Police Department and the Mishawaka Police Department are handling the investigation per an interlocal agreement. Further information has not been released but is expected soon.
