According to the National Weather Service, there’s an 80% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the area through late tonight, with rainfall amounts ranging from a quarter to half an inch. Patchy fog is expected after midnight, potentially reducing visibility to near zero in some spots. Lows will fall to 72°F before rebounding sharply on Thursday.

By Thursday afternoon, temperatures are expected to soar to 93°F, with heat index values reaching 101°F. A slight chance of additional thunderstorms returns after 2 p.m. Residents are advised to limit outdoor activity during peak heat and stay hydrated. Winds will shift northeast at 5 mph.
