Detroit, MI – Southern Michigan residents should prepare for a shift in weather as the week progresses. Today’s early morning fog is expected to clear by mid-day, leading to mostly sunny skies and near-normal highs. However, this calm weather will not last long.
According to the US National Weather Service Detroit/Pontiac, an unsettled weather pattern is set to move in mid-week. A cold front will bring widespread rain and thunderstorms on Wednesday, with high temperatures ranging from 79 to 84 degrees and lows between 64 and 74 degrees. The stormy weather will mark a significant change from Tuesday’s highs of 85 to 88 degrees and lows of 60 to 66 degrees, which will see a 30-50% chance of thunderstorms.
As the week progresses, cooler temperatures and scattered showers are anticipated. Thursday and Friday will see highs between 66 and 78 degrees and lows from 52 to 62 degrees. The chances of thunderstorms will persist through the end of the work week.
