Storm Threat Looms Over Chicago Lakefront This Weekend

Chicago, IL – A storm threat is looming along the lakefront this weekend, with rain and thunderstorms expected on Saturday and Monday.

According to the US National Weather Service in Chicago, Thursday will see sunny skies and temperatures in the lower to middle 70s. Friday will remain quiet with highs of 78 to 80 degrees, providing a brief respite before the weather takes a turn.

Saturday brings the return of storm chances, particularly along the Illinois shore, with temperatures ranging from 69 to 74 degrees. These conditions are expected to persist into Sunday, which will be mostly dry and warm with potential afternoon showers, and temperatures between 75 and 83 degrees.

The weather pattern continues into Monday, with a 50-60% chance of rain and thunderstorms, accompanied by temperatures in the low 80s. Residents are advised to stay informed and prepared for the possibility of severe weather during these periods.
