Suspect in custody after alleged Battery incident at Dollar General in Peotone

PEOTONE – The public has helped in apprehending a suspect after a battery incident Monday evening.

According to Peotone Police, it happened Monday around 8 p.m. when a man allegedly entered Dollar General at 362 Harlem Ave and created a battery and disorderly conduct situation inside the business.  

The man’s photo was released shortly after and lead to his arrest.

“Suspect has been identified and criminal charges are pending. Thank you to the community for your efforts to identify the individual.” Peotone Police said in a statement Tuesday afternoon.

Details on the incident have not been released.  The man’s name and specific charges are expected to be released soon.
