Taylorville, IL – Burglary at American Way Storage Spurs Crimestoppers Call to Action

Taylorville, IL – A burglary at American Way Storage has prompted a community-wide alert. 

According to the Christian County Sheriff’s Office, between February 2 and 6, 2024, unidentified individuals broke into two storage lockers at the facility located at 2007 West Spresser Street. The perpetrators cut the locks to gain access, taking a concrete compactor among other tools. The total value of the stolen goods and property damage has not been disclosed.

Crimestoppers is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest, with anonymity guaranteed. They have announced a doubling of the usual reward for tips regarding this particular crime. 

The public is encouraged to come forward with any relevant information by contacting Crimestoppers directly.
