EL PASO, Texas – A 21-year-old Texas man is facing triple murder charges after fleeing a traffic stop that ended with a horrific crash that killed an 8-year-old girl and two women.

El Paso Police Department reports detailed the incident that began on Loop 375 East Bound. Ignoring an officer’s attempt to halt his 2004 Brown Nissan Armada, Carlos Alejandro Martinez, from Horizon, reportedly sped away, leading to the violent crash at the intersection of 700 South Americas and 700 South Zaragoza.

The impact was so severe that a 2008 Tan Mazda Tribute, carrying the young girl and two women aged 31 and 27, ignited in flames, leaving no survivors. Their identities are undisclosed pending family notification.

Following the crash, Martinez again reportedly attempted to flee before being taken down by a taser. He is now facing triple murder charges, and a bond set at $3,000,000.
