Tragic Accident in Chicago Church Parking Lot Involving Seniors Giving Driving Instructions

CHICAGO, IL – Police are investigating a tragic accident that occurred on Saturday night in the Edgebrook neighborhood’s church parking lot involving two seniors. 

A 61-year-old woman was fatally injured after being dragged under a Toyota Sienna minivan while instructing a 61-year-old man on how to drive the vehicle. The incident took place at around 7:15 p.m. The woman was rushed to St. Francis Hospital but was later pronounced dead. 

The victim’s name has not been released.

Another person was in the back seat fell out of the minivan and was also hospitalized in the incident. The police are still investigating the incident, and no charges have been filed against the driver as of yet.
