GLENVIEW – Volunteer signups are now underway for the BMW Championship next August at Olympia Fields Country Club in Olympia Fields.
Up to 2,000 volunteers spots are available for the PGA Tour Event. Volunteers perform key tasks inside and outside the ropes during tournament week, including greeting patrons, corporate hospitality guests and selling event merchandise.
“The BMW Championship could not happen without the dedication, enthusiasm, and support from volunteers, who are essential to our tournament’s success,” said Vince Pellegrino, WGA Senior Vice President of Tournaments. “Serving as a volunteer presents a tremendous opportunity to see the tournament from a different perspective while also helping us raise funds for our sole charitable beneficiary, the Evans Scholars Foundation.”
It’s the first time since 2020 the event has been held at the course.
Volunteers must be 18 years old and commit to three shifts during the tournament ranging up to six hours. Volunteers are asked to purchase a volunteer uniform package valued at $629 at a discount price of $175.
The volunteer package includes Peter Millar golf shirts and outerwear, a hat, branded BMW Championship merchandise, volunteer credentials and a voucher for food and beverages throughout the volunteer sessions.
Those interested can sign up at http://www.bmwchampionship.com/volunteers. Signups end Dec. 19.
