Watseka, IL – In the wake of early morning thunderstorms and severe weather, Glenn Raymond School in Watseka will be closed today. 

Iroquois County CUSD9 Watseka School District announced the closure at 6:45 AM on Thursday, citing a significant power outage as the cause. The school, which caters to students in grades one through five, has paused its activities for the day. 

Further details on the cause of the power outage are anticipated to be released later today. The community awaits updates as they deal with the aftermath of the storm.
