Zion, IL – Residents Warned of Door-to-Door Scam Posing as Public Works Inspections

Zion, IL – Zion residents are being cautioned about a recent scam involving individuals posing as city Public Works employees. 

According to the Zion Police Department, these scammers are going door to door, presenting fake dirty water samples and requesting to enter homes to conduct inspections. Official city employees are required to show identification and do not carry water samples. 

The police urge anyone approached by these impostors or if anything suspicious occurs, to contact them immediately.
