Sterling, IL – A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued for Sterling, Rock Falls, and Tampico in Illinois, effective until 4:15 PM CDT today, as reported by the US National Weather Service Quad Cities Iowa/Illinois.

The storm brings potential dangers including wind gusts up to 60 mph and pea-sized hail. Authorities advise residents to seek shelter and avoid unnecessary travel due to potential damage and hazardous road conditions.
