The Kankakee Kays took home a Regional Title as part of the Winter 2020 IHSA Boys Basketball State Championship – Class 3A tournament and set a mark for the most wins in a season (26-4) with a victory over #6 Rich East (Park Forest, IL) last night, 78-66.
The title marks the second in three years for the Kays.
The win sets the Kays up for Class 3A Thornridge SemiSectional matchup against #2 Oak Forest this Wednesday at 7pm at Thornridge High School in Dolton. The winner of Tuesday’s matchup will go on to face the winner of #1 Morgan Park vs #4 Hillcrest in the Class 3A Thornridge Sectional Finals.
