Tennessee Black Friday Weekend Horror: 2 Killed in Crash, Driver Charged with Vehicular Homicide

CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. — A devastating crash on Black Friday weekend, occurring during the Shop Small Saturday event, resulted in the deaths of two pedestrians in Chattanooga.

According to police reports the incident took place when a vehicle, operated by 44-year-old Randy Vega, veered onto the sidewalk after a collision, striking three individuals. Authorities have charged Vega with vehicular homicide among other offenses.

The Chattanooga Police Department is actively investigating the circumstances of the crash, which has cast a shadow over the community’s Shop Small Saturday celebrations.
