Kenosha County, WI – Mystery Horses Corralled by Deputies in Somers

Kenosha County, WI – An unusual chase unfolded on a busy highway in the Village of Somers on Tuesday afternoon, where Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department deputies found themselves corralling two free-roaming horses. 

The horses were spotted enjoying a brisk run through local yards and along Highway E near 100th Avenue. Multiple attempts to secure the horses on foot by deputies were in vain until they managed to enclose the animals, waiting for Humane Officer Deputy Sorensen to take charge.

According to the Kenosha County Sheriff’s Department, the owner of the horses is currently unknown. Authorities are seeking assistance from the public to reunite the horses with their owner.
