Wisconsin Tornado Count Reaches 24 in 2024, NWS Reports

Milwaukee, WI – The National Weather Service in Milwaukee has updated the Wisconsin tornado count to 24 for 2024.

According to the NWS, this update includes a tornado in Dane County from the severe weather on May 21, bringing the total tornadoes from that event to 17. Of these, 15 were classified as EF1 and 2 as EF0. The detailed report lists the length and width of each tornado, with Evansville experiencing the longest at 26.2 miles and 750 yards wide.
