CRITTENDEN COUNTY, Ark. – A traffic stop in Crittenden County led to a significant drug bust when Arkansas State Police (ASP) arrested a California man found allegedly transporting nearly 300 pounds of illegal marijuana.

According to police records the incident occurred on March 27, 2024, around 5:30 p.m., as an ASP Trooper pulled over a tan Freightliner motorhome near the 278-mile marker for a traffic violation. Upon searching the vehicle, several duffle bags filled with 298 pounds of marijuana were discovered. The driver, Antranik Keshisian, 55, of North Hollywood, CA, claimed he was en route from California to Florida.

Keshisian was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and Failure to Register his Vehicle with Expired Tags, and was booked into the Crittenden County Detention Center.

This operation, carried out by the ASP’s Interstate Crime Patrol (ICP) unit, highlights the ongoing efforts to clamp down on interstate drug trafficking and ensure public safety on Arkansas’s highways.
