An Amazon employee in Joliet has tested positive for COVID-19.

That news comes today confirmed by Amazon in an email. The logistics company asked other employees on the site who may have come in close contact with that worker to stay home for 14 days under a self-quarantine.

Those workers will receive up to two weeks of pay.

While Amazon says it’s added other measures at its distribution centers on how to handle COVID-19 closures for deep cleaning, Amazon said it did not shut down its Joliet site following the news.
