CHICAGO – A California man has was charged after allegedly living inside of O’Hare International Airport, for nearly three months.

According to prosecutors, 36-year-old Aditya Singh had arrived at O’Hare on October 19th for a flight to Los Angeles but hid out inside the airport because he was scared to fly during the pandemic.

Singh was successful in going undetected in the secure area of the airport, until Saturday. That’s when two United Airlines employees confronted Singh, asking for his ID. Singh presented an ID to the employees who reported it missing a week after Singh arrived, belonging to an operations manager.

The employees called police, who took Singh into custody shortly after 11 am.

Singh has been charged with felony criminal trespass to a restricted area of an airport, along with misdemeanor theft. Singh is due back in court later this month.
