Cinco de Mayo Fiesta at Kankakee’s Civic Auditorium to Feature Mariachi and Dance

Kankakee, IL – The vibrant culture and traditions of Cinco de Mayo will be brought to life in Kankakee this May, thanks to the efforts of the GFWC IL Woman’s Club of Kankakee and Hippocrates Medical Clinic. In a celebration that promises to entertain and educate, the community is invited to join the festivities.

According to event organizers, the first annual Cinco de Mayo event is set to take place on Sunday, May 5, 2024, at the Civic Auditorium, located at 803 S 8th Ave, Kankakee, from 2 pm to 6 pm. The celebration includes an array of performances such as the spirited Mariachi Arriba Jalisco and the captivating Mexican Dancers led by De Antonio Minzo. 

Tickets are available for $20 per person, with a special rate for children aged 6-10 at $10. Interested parties can purchase tickets through Eventbrite.
