Illinois Department of Public Health is now reporting two cases of COVID-19 at Citadel of Kankakee.

The facility has been on lock-down since March, prior to Illinois’ stay-at-home being issued.

All residents and staff at the faculty were tested on Saturday April 25th.  Citadel told families with residents in the home results for the home would be expected either Wednesday or Thursday this week.

The facility was chosen for random testing by the State of Illinois last week. Previously, Citadel of Kankakee had reported zero cases.

Citadel joins Riverside’s Miller Center, Riverside’s Senior Life, Bickford of Bourbonnais and Aperion Care of Bradley, all reporting cases of COVID-19.
