Illinois Department of Public Health officials reports this afternoon 39 of Riverside’s Miller Center’s 70 residents are now infected with COVID-19.

That number is up 11 since Friday, April 17th.

To date, no deaths have been reported at the Riverside’s Miller Center by the Illinois Department of Public. That report is contradictory to local obituaries, dating back to April 17th.

Since that time, multiple residents of Riverside’s Miller Center have been reported dead.

Riverside’s Miller Center can support up to 78% of their seniors in negative pressure environments to require recommended isolation strategies. Isolation tents are used to restrict airflow used by a patient and push it outside of the building.

Reports of residents infected at Miller Center first began on April 9th. It took over a week before Riverside officially announced any cases at Riverside’s 5-Star Senior Living Center.
