COVID-19: 150 confirmed in Kankakee, 7 now dead

Kankakee County Health Department officials announced this afternoon 22 new cases of COVID-19, bringing County totals to 150, with the majority of the outbreaks focused at Shapiro Developmental Center in Kankakee.  The City of Kankakee now accounts for 92 of the 150 cases in the County.

A new death was announced this afternoon by the Health Department, bringing County totals to 7 dead with 11 recovered.

Among those positive cases include by zip code:

  • 8 cases in 60950 (Manteno)
  • 22 cases in 60914 (Bourbonnais)
  • 92 cases in 60901 (Kankakee)
  • 6 cases in 60964 (St. Anne)
