COVID-19: 163 cases, 100 in Kankakee alone, 8 dead in Kankakee County

Kankakee County Health Department officials announced this afternoon an additional 13 cases this afternoon, bringing County totals to 163 COVID-19 cases.

Officials also announced this afternoon 1 additional death, bringing total dead in Kankakee due to COVID-19 to 8.  The County also announced 17 cases have recovered from the virus.

Kankakee County Health Department announced this morning 80 of the cases in Kankakee County are directly tied to long-term care facilities, including Shapiro Developmental Center.

  • 10 Cases (Manteno)
  • 22 Cases (Bourbonnais)
  • 100 Cases (Kankakee)
  • 7 Cases (St. Anne)
