Investigation Underway After Man Shot in Naperville Altercation

NAPERVILLE, Ill. – A man was found shot early Sunday morning in Naperville.

Naperville Police responded to a call of shots fired on the 1500 block of West Jefferson Avenue around 12:45 a.m. on Sunday. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot and injured.

Early investigations suggests that the victim had been involved in a dispute prior to being targeted by multiple assailants who battered him and then fired at him. The alleged offenders fled the scene in an unknown vehicle before the police arrived.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries and remains under investigation.
