The Continuing Education Department at Kankakee Community College is offering a day-trip to Old Orchard Shopping Center in Skokie on Friday, Dec. 6.
Offered each year, this popular trip will explore the beautiful open-air setting at Westfield Old Orchard Shopping Center, the premier shopping destination in Skokie, on Chicago’s North Shore. Highlights of the season can be found at the anchor stores of Bloomingdale’s, Nordstrom, Lord & Taylor and Macy’s. There are more than 120 stores to choose from A-Z, including Apple, L.L. Bean, Lacoste, Coach, Tiffany & Co., Crate & Barrel, Restoration Hardware, Williams-Sonoma and Chicago’s first Zara. There also are a number of restaurants including Shake Shack, Cheesecake Factory, Maggiano’s and California Pizza Kitchen.
To take part in the trip, the fee is $35, which includes motor coach transportation. There will be two departure points: KCC at 7:30 a.m. and the Country Inn and Suites in Manteno at 8 a.m. The group will depart Skokie at 5 p.m. Registration deadline is Nov. 25. Participants will receive a trip itinerary by mail.
