Kankakee County passes 1,000 COVID-19 cases, now 30 cases in kids 13 and under

Kankakee County Health officials announced 20 new cases of COVID-19 on Thursday, bringing the County to over 1,000 cases to date.  There are now 1,012 cases to date in the County.

Among today’s cases announced included a child under 13 years old.    There have now been 30 cases to date in the County of COVID-19 among children under 13 years old.

No new deaths were announced today by County officials, while State officials reported 4 new deaths early today in the County per delayed statistics.

Active cases remain at 676. As of this afternoon, 16 of those cases were hospitalized in Kankakee County.  There have now been 298 recoveries in the County.

Cases increased Thursday via IDPH over the course of the past 24-hours increased in Bradley (+1), St. Anne (+2), and Kankakee (+1).  Here’s how cases break down across Kankakee County via confirmed Zip Codes on Thursday:
