KANKAKEE, IL — As the holiday season approaches, the City of Kankakee gears up for its heartwarming annual event.

Mayor Christopher W. Curtis, in collaboration with local grocers Walmart, Berkot’s Super Foods, and Jewel Osco, are set to host the 3rd Annual Thanksgiving Dinner Giveaway on Saturday, November 18 from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm at the Municipal building’s parking lot.

With economic challenges on the rise, the Mayor aims to provide more families with a hearty Thanksgiving meal this year. Last year saw 183 grateful families benefiting from this initiative. Residents can register for the giveaway online, while queries can be directed to David Guzman at the Mayor’s office.
