KANKAKEE, IL – Clove Alliance, a non-profit organization working towards ending sexual violence, is hosting its 15th Annual Walk A Mile In Her Shoes® event on Friday, April 28th, at The Majestic.
The event encourages participants to wear women’s shoes as a symbol of their commitment to this important cause, and it aims to empower men and raise awareness of men’s violence against women.
The cost of participation is $10 and includes an event t-shirt and lunch. Those who register by April 21st will receive a t-shirt. However, participants who miss the deadline are still welcome to attend and take part in the walk. Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with a t-shirt sponsorship costing $250 and a supporter sponsorship at $100.
The walk will start at the courthouse, where participants will walk in solidarity to raise awareness of this crucial issue. Clove Alliance believes that men have the power to cease sexualized violence and become more active in trying to bring about a solution.
