Unleash Your Inner Gamer at Limestone Township Library District’s Video Game Party

Limestone Township Library District is breaking the mold of traditional libraries. The library district is offering more than just books and has exciting programs and activities lined up for patrons of all ages.

Visitors can enjoy public access computers, fax services, and other educational and entertainment items such as binoculars for bird watching, a microscope for scientific experiments, and games that teach various skills while having fun.

The library district has a range of upcoming events, including a Family Video Game Party on April 13th with Super Smash Brothers Ultimate, Mario Kart, and Guitar Hero. On April 14th, patrons can pick up a Flapping Butterfly Take-and-Make Project while supplies last. The library district is also hosting a World Art Day event on April 15th for children in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Adults can enjoy a Craft Night on April 17th, creating a Rock Bowl Centerpiece with all supplies provided.

Additionally, there will be a Puppet Story Theater on April 22nd, where Mr. William and Ms. Holly will perform a fun story with a collection of puppets in the puppet theater.

National Library Week will be celebrated with a Make Your Own Book Take-and-Make Craft. The library district will also host a Writer’s Group on April 25th, where participants will edit and critique each other’s work.

Finally, families are invited to make Fidget Spinners on April 29th, a small handheld toy that spins around a central bearing, designed to provide a way to fidget and relieve stress or anxiety. All supplies will be provided, and there will be no fee for this program.

Library cardholders can check out books with a simple process of bringing their driver’s license or State ID and a piece of mail to verify their address. Non-residents may need to pay a non-resident fee.
