Pembroke Church Engulfed in Flames Overnight

PEMBROKE, IL – The Greater Hope Church located at 3939 S. Main Street in Pembroke, Kankakee County, was reported to be fully engulfed in flames overnight, leading to multiple agencies responding to the scene. 

Firefighters declared the church a total loss.

The fire broke out around 2:15 a.m and was reported to have been fully involved by the time fire crews arrived. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

At this time, there have been no reports of any injuries related to the fire. However, the church building appears to have sustained significant damage. 

Authorities are urging anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
