WILMINGTON – A man has died following a crash on Interstate 55.
The Will County Coroner’s Office reported the death of 33-year-old Nicholas Ercolini early Monday morning of Blackstone, Illinois following a crash on the interstate. Ercolini was the driver of a vehicle northbound on Interstate 55 that was struck a vehicle traveling southbound in the northbound lanes near mile post 238 in Wilmington, IL.
The Illinois State Police District 5 is investigating the incident. An autopsy is scheduled for today,
