Naperville, Ill. – A single-family home in the 800 block of Cardiff Road suffered an estimated $250,000 in damages after a fire broke out on Wednesday morning.

A contractor in the area reported seeing black smoke from the roof, prompting Naperville’s Public Safety Answering Point to dispatch 10 pieces of fire apparatus and 24 personnel to the scene.

Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze, and no residents or firefighters were injured during the operation.
