PEOTONE – A Peotone man is being held on $1 million bond after an Instagram report lead to his arrest on child pornography charges Friday.

Justin Michael Adams, 34, of Peotone, was taken into custody and booked at the Will County Jail Friday morning on a charge of child pornography.

The Will County Sheriff’s office reported an investigation into Adams first began after Instagram reported an incident regarding child pornography to the Nation Center for Missing and Exploited Children in April.

Detectives executed a search warrant Friday after the non-profit organization identified Adams as the IP user associated with the account. Electronics belonging to Adams were seized as part of a search as he was brought in for questioning.

Adams will need to post $100,000 for his release, according to the Will County jail’s website.

Police have said additional charges are expected in the case.  Adams is scheduled to appear in court on a bond hearing Tuesday afternoon.
