KANKAKEE – You can now renew license plate stickers at the Kankakee Public Library.

The service is available daily from library opening to a half hour before closing, according to the library website. To renew, you must bring your valid ID and your state-issued renewal postcard, or your ID, VIN and the expiration date of your current sticker.

The new service is available daily on the third floor.  In order to renew, drivers must bring renewal information including registration ID and pin, VIN number, license plate number and current expiration.

“The whole process can be completed in just a few minutes. Cash or credit card is accepted. The cost is determined based on the individual’s

vehicle. There is also a $5 processing fee.” The Library said in a statement Monday.

For additional questions on the new service you can call 815-939-4564 and select option 4.
