KANKAKEE, IL – Fans of Star Wars, get ready to engage hyperdrives! The Kankakee Valley Park District is hosting the “May the 4th Be With You 5K Run/Walk” at the River Road Sports Complex on Saturday, May 4th, starting at 10:00 AM.
This celestial celebration invites participants of all ages to embrace their favorite galactic heroes or villains.
Gear up in your best Star Wars costume for a thrilling competition where the best-dressed male and female will win a free entry to our vibrant Fall Color Run during the Fall Festival on October 5. Join forces with friends or fly solo on this adventure through the galaxy.
Adding to the excitement, the 501st Midwest Garrison will make a special appearance with their iconic Stormtroopers, enhancing this out-of-this-world experience. Every participant will receive a commemorative t-shirt (while supplies last) and a finisher’s ribbon, making this a memorable event for every Padawan and Jedi Master.
