Steger woman held on $100,000 bond following attempted murder charge in Park Forest

PARK FOREST – A 56-year-old Steger woman was arrested Thursday evening on attempted murder charges.

According to Park Forest Police, officers arrived to an apartment complex at 350 Juniper St. for the report of a person who had been struck in the head multiple times with a knife.  Upon arrival, officers found a 66-year-old male resident who was the victim of the incident.  Officers also found his guest, Vera D. Dennis of Steger, who was identified by the victim as his attacker.

Following an investigation by Park Forest Police, evidence was presented to the Cook County States Attonrey’s Office and Dennis was taken into custody on a felony charge of Attempted Murder. 

Dennis is now being held on $100,000 bond.
