Will County now report 395 COVID-19 cases, nine deaths

Will County Health Department officials announced this afternoon there are now 395 positive COVID-19 cases in their county.  Cases are split nearly 50/50 between gender with 210 male cases and 185 female cases.  Cases range in age between 5 and 90 years old, with 9 deaths.

Of those cases, 15 members of the Will County Health Department. Earlier this week it was announced the Health Department would close their doors in the pandemic, opting to have employees work from home.

Earlier today, the Manhattan Park District announced plans to step up enforcement of closed recreational areas, including asking Will County and Manhattan Police to patrol area parks.  It’s unclear if other local park districts will ask local law enforcement to patrol as well.
