For the third time this month, the Illinois Department of Public Health (IDPH) has announced a single-day record low in deaths for the past 24-hours.  Monday also marked the third day in a row of declining cases in the state.

On Monday, IPDH announced six residents had lost their battle with COVID-19.  It ties record lows set in back to back days earlier this month.  To date, 7,193 Illinois residents have lost their battle with the pandemic.

IDPH also announced 883 new confirmed cases of COVID-19 on Monday, bringning state totals to date to 154,799.

The rolling seven-day positivity rate now stands at 2.94 percent.

Illinois surpassed two million tests given since the pandemic began on Monday. The tests are only valid at the time of administration.
