The Illinois Department of Public Transportation has begun putting up signs on Route 45 for road work in the area.
Bourbonnais Mayor Paul Shore said in an interview Thursday the village isn’t expecting delays with traffic due to the work, mainly because it will be performed at night.
“They’ll start out doing some intersections. Then they’ll start the repaving project. It’ll start just north of Armour Rd and head south all the way to Court Street. A lot of the repaving, they’re planning on doing at night,” said Mayor Shore.
The project is expected to be completed at the end of August.
