Florida Man Fires Multiple Rounds at Vehicle from Driveway, Quickly Arrested for Second-Degree Murder

North Fort Myers, FL – A local man, Andrew Perkins, was arrested after allegedly firing multiple rounds at a vehicle from the end of his driveway, resulting in one death. The incident, which took place on Sunday, April 28th, unfolded in the 18000 block of Roberts Road.

According to the Lee County Sheriff’s Office, deputies arrived at the scene to find a vehicle crashed with numerous bullet holes in the rear and the truck bed. The driver, whose identity has not been disclosed, was found deceased inside.

The investigation revealed that Perkins got into a verbal altercation with the victim at his residence before the shooting occurred. As the victim began to drive away, Perkins reportedly used a rifle to shoot at the vehicle. A passenger in the vehicle was unharmed during the attack.

Perkins now faces charges of second-degree murder and attempted second-degree murder, as law enforcement continues their investigation into the motives and details of the tragic event.
