Chicago Ridge, IL – Shooting in Fitness Center Parking Lot Triggers Police Investigation

Chicago, IL – Police in Chicago Ridge were called to a shooting incident at the parking lot of a local fitness center on Tuesday night around 9:45 PM. The event unfolded as four men, described as African American and aged between 20 and 25, were seen walking from the XSport Fitness facility to the parking area. They split into two groups, with each duo entering a different vehicle—a gold and a black Honda—before shots were heard.

The Chicago Ridge Police Department reported finding 25 spent bullet casings and a live round at the scene. The gunfire resulted in damage to two vehicles and a shattered window at the nearby Five Below store. Following the shooting, the suspects fled the scene in their vehicles in opposite directions on Ridgeland Avenue.

As of late Tuesday, no injuries have been reported, and local hospitals have not admitted any gunshot victims related to this incident. Police continue to gather information and request that anyone with additional details contact the Chicago Ridge Police Department. The investigation remains active, with authorities keen to apprehend the individuals involved.
