Schaumburg, IL – The foundation of future pediatric care was laid in Schaumburg as community leaders and healthcare advocates gathered to break ground on the new state-of-the-art Children’s Hospital. The groundbreaking ceremony Tuesday marked the beginning of a project set to expand high-acuity pediatric healthcare in Chicago’s northwest suburbs.

Strategically located at 1895 Arbor Glen Blvd., the 75,000-square-foot facility will be the first of its kind to provide a comprehensive range of pediatric services in a non-hospital setting, including a pediatric-only Ambulatory Infusion Center. Lurie Children’s Outpatient Center aims to revolutionize pediatric healthcare with an expected patient visitation exceeding 60,000 in its first year.

This venture will also create job opportunities for 85 full-time staff members and sets a new standard for pediatric care accessibility in the region. Construction is underway and projected to be completed in the fall of 2025.
