Tinley Park, IL – This week, Tinley Park transforms into a nostalgic paradise with the debut of “Saturday Morning Benches,” part of the 21st annual “Benches on the Avenue” public art exhibition. Starting Monday, take a stroll down Oak Park Avenue from 175th to 171st streets and step into the vibrant world of your favorite cartoons.

Celebrating the theme “Saturday Morning Cartoons,” this unique outdoor gallery features 25 handcrafted benches, each painted with beloved characters and scenes from across the decades. From the underwater escapades of SpongeBob SquarePants and Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to the desert antics of the Looney Tunes, these benches capture the essence and joy of iconic animations from the 1930s to today.

Crafted by a mix of local amateur and professional artists, these benches not only offer a visual treat but also a place to reminisce about the golden days of weekend cartoon marathons.
