Crestwood Police Apprehend Suspect After Shots Fired Near Off-Track-Betting Facility

Crestwood, IL – A shots-fired call on Sunday led Crestwood Police to apprehended a suspect near the Off-Track-Betting facility at 13148 Rivercrest Drive. 

According to police reports the incident, reported at 4:06 pm, led to a brief foot chase after the suspect, matching the provided description, fled from officers. Two additional persons of interest were also detained. A firearm, later identified as stolen from Indiana, was recovered at the scene. 

While the investigation continues, authorities currently do not believe the shooting was a random act. The Crestwood Police are actively investigating the matter and ask the public for any relevant information.
