One in Custody Following Drive-By Shooting in Villa Park, No Injuries Reported

Villa Park, IL – A drive-by shooting in the Villa Park area led to the swift apprehension of a suspect, according to the Villa Park Police Department. The incident, which took place between Tuesday and Wednesday near Oakland and Kolberg, involved a suspect shooting at a moving vehicle. 

The police have confirmed that no injuries occurred, and they have successfully recovered the firearm used. The area has been secured, and there is no ongoing threat to the public. 

As the investigation continues, the police are considering pending criminal charges and encourage anyone with relevant information or security footage to contact Detective Haimann.
